The Behringer 1036 Sample & Hold/Random Voltage Generator module is a faithful re-creation of a unit from an iconic 1970s modular synthesizer scaled for Eurorack. This 16HP module is packed with two independent sample & hold circuits with onboard clock frequency controls and internal random signal level controls. Additionally, each circuit includes three CV-control patch points: one for connecting an external control voltage to be sampled and manipulated, a second for connecting an oscillator or keyboard to generate a sample pulse command, and a third for varying the clock rate with an LFO, envelope, or other modulation sources. Synthesists at Sweetwater have fully embraced Eurorack, and we realize it can seem like a confusing and costly undertaking when you’re first starting out.
