High-performance construction





The X10 was built with high-level players in mind, and it shows. Its aerodynamic "X"-shaped body was carved from North American alder and capped with a solid piece of popular burl. It vaunts neck-thru construction with a comfortable 5-piece hard maple/mahogany neck. And its ebony fingerboard practically plays itself, thanks to a compound radius and 24 medium-jumbo stainless steel frets. Players with a penchant for rapid-fire alternate picking, sweep-picked arpeggios, greased-lightning tapping runs, and neoclassical fretboard pyrotechnics will feel right at home on the X10.

Scorching-hot humbucker tone





When it comes to red-hot humbucker tone, the Sire X10 went with the gold standard: Seymour Duncan's TB-4/SH-1n combo. The TB-4 JB Model is the prototypical hot-rodded bridge humbucker, yielding muscular lows, crisp-sounding highs, and an upper-midrange bump for maximum chunk, crunch, and harmonic richness. The SH-1n '59 Model in the X10's neck position delivers full-sounding lows, slightly scooped mids, and gently boosted highs; it preserves the clarity of the individual notes in a chord, making it ideal for rhythm work as well as jazz and blues soloing. The X10 includes a 5-way pickup selector switch for added sonic flexibility, along with global volume and tone knobs.
